Delivered Meals : Beloit Meals on Wheels
delivers warm, nutritious meals to the elderly, ill and handicapped
in the greater Beloit area. Volunteers deliver meals using their
own vehicles and gas, delivering meals 7 days a week, 365 days a
year including holidays. During the intake process clients are also
screened for additional needs, and information and referrals are
made -- such as making a connection for Lifeline Service -- which
enables the client to remain independent in their home. Additionally,
the daily delivery provides a well-being check on the client as

Big
Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring : BBBS
matches children between the ages of 6 and 14, primarily from single
parent families, with an adult who serves as a mentor on a one-to-one
basis. Through careful screening, a match is made based on the child's
background and needs. They spend a minimum of one year together,
meeting weekly on an average of 4 to 6 hours. Activities vary based
on individual interests. A match plan is made by the case manager
for each match to ensure measurable goals are being met.

HUB Teen
Parent Connections : is open to any Beloit
area pregnant or parenting teen -- male or female -- between the
ages of 13 and 21. It provides support services that assist participants
in achieving greater family stability, stronger skills in daily
living & parenting and increased self-sufficiency short term
and long term.
Transitional
Living Program: is open to homeless, single, pregnant or parenting
teen in the city of Beloit between the ages of 18 and 23 and who
are currently active in the TPC or Fresh Start programs. Participants
are eligible to receive 18 months of rent assistance and 24 months

us that being able to stay at home as long as possible is a significant
quality of life issue. This program promotes the capacity of seniors
to remain in their home by linking them with qualified and typically
more affordable personal care providers. Program also serves as
a case management resource for seniors and a conduit to employment
for individual care providers.
The Key
Transitional Living Program: Transitioning from domestic violence
to independence is not an easy process. This program works with
ten families in overcoming the very real challenges to independence
by providing life skills training and financial and emotional support
for up to 18 months. Th program also operates the Kathy Reynolds
House (My Sisters Place), a transitional housing facility for
survivors of domestic violence who do not have children.
Rock County
Youth2Youth : Once known as the rock county tobacco Free Kids
the program's vision has evolved to focus on creating a drug free
community as a critical means for improving the quality of life
for our youth and community as a whole. Th program works very closely
with youth as peer leaders in getting the "message out"
the negative consequences of substance abuse.
CASA of
Rock County : The goal of the CASA program is to promote the
best interests of abused and neglected children within the juvenile
court system through the use of specially trained volunteer advocates.
Th program works closely with the juvenile court judge as "the
voice of the child" in court and helps ensure that the child's
interests are heard.

Program
Afterschool & Summer Program for children ages 7-12 years of
age.
This program emphasizes character education “Character
Counts” and works closely with the School District of Beloit
to enhance learning for students. They offer homework help and tutoring
with caring mentors, and provide an array of special projects such
as music and golf to keep children engaged in meaningful activities
and on the path to making positive choices. Each day the children
are given a hot nutritious snack.
Senior Program
Senior BINGO for adults 50 and older.
Senior citizens enjoy playing BINGO to win food bags and prizes.
They also have the opportunity to receive information about various
resources in the community and enjoy a weekly potluck while socializing
with their peers. This program gives older adults something fun
to do and a chance to get the necessary information they may need
as it pertains to their health, housing, etc.

Prenatal
Care and Nutrition Education (PCNE) : Provides services for
85 pregnant teens in the greater Beloit area including Roscoe-Rockton,
Clinton, and South Beloit. This unique program brings vital public
health and nutrition programs to the pregnant teen students, in
their classroom environment assuring better access to services,
and improved compliance. NHA offers Beloit Memorial High School
on-site WIC and Prenatal Care Coordination services collaborating
with Beloit Memorial High Schools’ SAPAR program (School Age
Parent Program) while the other schools are served through collaborative
referrals, NHA clinic visits and classroom education upon request.

Referrals : Community Referrals volunteers perform duties at
over 160 not-for-profits, municipalities and schools in the Rock
County area. They volunteer in hospitals, museums, nursing homes,
courthouses, libraries, senior centers, senior meal sites and other
community based agencies. The Community Referrals Coordinator recruits,
trains and places volunteers based on their interests, skills and
abilities as well as the needs of the volunteer site.
Intergenerational
Programs : Intergenerational Program volunteers serve in one
or more of four signature programs: America Reads, Folk Fairs, Intergenerational
Heroes and BABES (Beginning Alcohol & Addiction Basic Education
Studies).
In-Home/Groups
: In-home and group volunteers are the oldest, most vulnerable people
we serve. Through RSVP they are able to make meaningful contributions
to their communities by completing bulk mailings, materials collating,
knitting, sewing and crocheting items in their homes or subsidized
apartments either individually or in group projects. Non-profits,
frail elderly and the needy in our community benefit from this program.

Skills
Bank: Skills Bank mobilizes individuals and groups of community
volunteers of all ages and levels of ability. Skills Bank acts as
a volunteer clearinghouse for Stateline non-profits, providing hands-on
assistance with service delivery at other agencies and programs,
allowing them to focus on their own missions rather than expending
resources to recruit needed volunteers. VAC volunteers serve on
non-profit boards, provide literacy training, assist with local
festivals, act as role models to young people, nurture the elderly
and the homeless, feed the hungry, and comfort the victims of violence.
VAC Grant
Center:
The Grant Center uses highly-qualified volunteers to help non-profits
throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois get more funding.
The Center trains volunteer proposal-writers and donor researchers
and matches them to non-profits. Since the program started in 1992,
the VAC Grant Center has generated over $1.6 million in successful
grant proposals for area non-profits. Grant Center also provides
trainings in proposal-writing, technical assistance in nonprofit
development, and donor information.
